Centro Histórico: The Obvious Choice

Airport Proximity vs City Center

If you have an early flight or arrive very late, staying close to QRO airport (30 km northeast of Centro) can save stress. Hotels along Mex-57 near the airport include Holiday Inn Express and Fiesta Inn. Rates run 1,400 to 2,200 MXN. The trade-off: you are 35 minutes from anywhere you want to sightsee.

For most visitors a Centro hotel wins even on airport travel. An Uber from Centro to QRO runs about 280 to 380 MXN and takes 40 to 50 minutes on a decent day.
